Accomplished from the 1950s up to the 1980s, Assemblages are closely connected with Collages, of which they seem to be the “symmetric opposite”  (Altamira 2001). They are done with the assemblage - for the most part on packaging paper - of fragments and cut out pieces of  a wide range of fabrics (cotton, jeans, velvet, but also scraps of clothes…), which create different patterns on the surface. Some of the assemblages are elaborated with the dripping technique.
